Is it possible for a candle to close , lets say above a 33 EMA on a 30 minute chart , just to have the next few candles close high enough to draw the EMA line above the candle that initially closed above the EMA? Does That make since if not I will try to clarify.

Sure, if the subsquent bars are big enough, but they wont move the ema above the initial candle itself, as that is fixed at the close of that candle. But dude, if you are truly a newbie to this sport, then what you're asking is equivalent to looking at the lay of a single grain of sand on a beach to try to figure out when the tide is going to change. Henyloc, a friendly bit of advice here. New traders are drawn to small time frames and indiors like a bear to honey. That is exactly the wrong direction to take. Start by focusing only daily charts, and learn to trade as naked as possible. That is with very few or no indiors. I would like to say that James16's Price Action has helped me tremendously. I definitely recommend looking into it....

Thank you Dialist and clockwork for the advice. Ive been fooling around with some ema's and various indiors , curious about how they operate. I will spend some time in the threads you mentioned i hear alot of good things about the James16 thread all the time. Thanks again! Henyloc
